Why Become an ESKA Instructor?
Instructing is extremely rewarding and satisfying. It will develop your confidence, improve your communication and enhance your Karate skills. You will be directly involved in student progression, helping them achieve their goals and be part of their Karate Journey.

– Trainee Instructors will receive feedback, mentoring and support to enable them to further improve their coaching abilities

Cadet Instructor
A cadet instructor is for students aged between 14 and 18 years old. They already teach and wish to gain a qualification. Then when turning 18 can upgrade to Assistant Instructor or Instructor.
We recognise that we have some talented junior instructors. This is a way of rewarding those juniors with a qualification.
Assessments are conducted throughout the year. Qualification certificates are presented at the annual ESKA Awards evening.
The Cadet minimum level for assessment is 1st Kyu.
Assistant Instructor
An assistant instructor is for students aged 18 or above, who already teach and wish to gain a qualification ahead of gaining their black belt. They will then be able to upgrade to an instructor once a black belt.
We recognise that we have some talented adult instructors, who are not yet a black belt. This gives these adults a way of earning an ESKA qualification ahead of achieving their black belt.
Assessments are conducted throughout the year. Qualification certificates are presented at the annual ESKA Awards evening.
Instructor
An instructor is for students aged 18 or above and have achieved the rank of Black Belt or above.
This qualification allows an individual to teach unsupervised. They will also need the correct level of insurance, first aid qualification and DBS checks in place.
Assessments are conducted throughout the year. Qualification certificates are presented at the annual ESKA Awards evening.
